On this night, we welcome Mania – The ABBA Tribute! From London’s West End to Las Vegas, Mania is the world’s number one touring ABBA tribute, with their authentic and unforgettable recreation of the legendary Swedish band’s last ever concert. The orchestra of the North East will be joined by saxophonist Jess Gillam, who shot to fame after winning BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2016, this performance will feature an eclectic array of music for saxophone and strings that spans four centuries. There’s stately Baroque concertos, elegant French songs, 21st century minimalism and even a bit of David Bowie!

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Beyond the Barricade is the UK’s leading musical theatre concert. Past principals from Les Misérables in the West End and on UK tour perform favourite songs from the world’s greatest West End and Broadway musicals, ending with a spectacular finale from, of course, Les Misérables. The blockbusting two-hour show has been delighting audiences throughout the UK, Europe and Australasia, from the Royal Albert Hall to the Cunard cruise liners
